LinkedIn now has its own digital business card. It is made from your LinkedIn profile, shows your photo, job title and a QR code, and comes in several designs. You can add it to your phone's digital wallet. LinkedIn announced it on 15 October 2026 and is rolling it out globally over the coming months.
What LinkedIn's digital business card is
It is a shareable card built from the profile you already have. The card shows:
- Your profile photo
- Your job title
- A QR code that other people scan with their phone
You can pick from several design options and save the card to your phone's digital wallet, so it is quick to show at a meeting or event. LinkedIn announced profile notes at the same time: private notes you can keep on someone's profile, for Premium subscribers only.
LinkedIn tried something similar in 2018 with profile QR codes, which never really caught on, according to Social Media Today. That QR code is still in the app, and our guide to the LinkedIn QR code shows where to find it.
How to get the LinkedIn card, and why you may not see it yet
LinkedIn is releasing the card to members over the coming months, so not everyone has it yet. As of 21 October 2026, LinkedIn has not published where it appears in the app. We will update this guide when it does.
- 1
Update the LinkedIn app
Install the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- 2
Check again over the next few weeks
The rollout is gradual, so the card can appear on one account before another.
- 3
Share what you already have
Your existing LinkedIn QR code works now, or make a free card that works today with the ConnectMachine card maker.

When a ConnectMachine card works better
LinkedIn's card leads people to your LinkedIn profile, and what you get back is a connection request. A ConnectMachine card is built for the contact exchange itself:
- Your number and email go straight into the other person's phone in one tap. Your card opens in their browser, so they install nothing.
- They can send their details back with Share Back, so you walk away with their number and email too, not a request waiting to be accepted.
- You can add typed or voice notes on where you met. On paid plans, the AI Concierge finds the person later when you ask in plain language.
- On paid plans, email and SMS reminders tell you when to follow up.
- Your QR code is on your phone, in Apple Wallet and on your Apple Watch, so it is ready before your phone is out of your pocket.
- On paid plans, new contacts can go to your CRM through Zapier, Make, n8n or webhooks.
Use both cards
You do not have to choose. Add your LinkedIn profile link to your ConnectMachine card, so people who want to connect on LinkedIn can do it from the same card. To make yours, open the free digital business card maker, or print a LinkedIn QR code for your badge or table sign.
