LinkedIn QR code generator. Your name, your colours, ready to print.
Turn your LinkedIn profile into a QR code people scan to connect with you. Pick a layout and colours here, download it as SVG or PNG, and if you want to go further than this tool can, open it in Canva or Figma with every layer still editable.
Only need the QR code LinkedIn already gives you?
Open the LinkedIn app, tap the search bar at the top, then the QR icon on its right, and choose My code. That code is fine for showing on your phone. Use this tool when you want it on a card, a slide, a badge or a poster.
These details are on your card now. Edit them anytime in the ConnectMachine app.
The code itself stays dark on a white tile in every theme, so it always scans.
This is where this tool stops.
We keep the options short so every design scans. For your own fonts, photos, logos or a completely different layout, take this design into Canva or Figma. Every layer stays editable.
Want to take it further?
Add your photo, logo, a different font, or build it into a flyer. Open this exact design in Canva or Figma. It is never flattened into a single picture: in Figma every piece of text stays editable, and in Canva you can recolour it and build around it.
Figma
Pastes in as vector layers you can edit straight away.
- Open any Figma file
- Press Cmd or Ctrl + V
Canva
Downloads the design, then opens Canva for you to drop it in.
- In Canva, choose Uploads
- Drag in the file we just saved
One rule when editing: change anything around the code, but keep the code dark on light, don't cover its corners, and leave the white margin around it. Scan it with your phone before you print.
A LinkedIn QR opens a profile. A ConnectMachine card saves you as a contact.People who scan it get your number, email and LinkedIn in one tap, and no LinkedIn login is needed.
Make a free cardHow to find your LinkedIn profile QR code
LinkedIn builds a QR code for your profile into its app. Here is where to find it, how to scan someone else's, and when it is not enough.
- 01
Open the LinkedIn app on your iPhone or Android phone.
- 02
Tap the search bar at the top of the home screen.
- 03
Tap the QR icon at the right end of the search bar.
- 04
Choose My code. You can share it or save it as an image from there.
To scan a LinkedIn QR code, open the same screen and choose the Scan tab, then point your camera at the code. Your phone's own camera app also works: it opens the profile in LinkedIn.
The desktop site does not show a QR code, only the app does.
LinkedIn's own code is designed to be held up on a phone. It comes in LinkedIn's colours, at screen resolution, as a flat image. That is why people make their own when the code is going on something printed, a slide, or anything that should look like their brand rather than LinkedIn's.

| Your name and a call to action | No | Yes, on every layout |
| Colours | LinkedIn's | Yours |
| Business card, sign, story, badge | No | Ready made layouts |
| Edit further in Canva or Figma | No | Yes, with layers intact |
Editing your LinkedIn QR code in Canva
For flyers, posters, event materials, or anything built from a Canva template.
Choose Open in Canva on the last step. The design saves to your device as an SVG and Canva opens in a new tab. In Canva, open or create a design, go to Uploads in the left panel, and drag the file in. It arrives as a graphic whose colours you can change, and you can place it on any template, resize it, or combine it with photos and your logo.
If you only want the code itself inside an existing Canva design, pick the QR only layout first. It gives you a clean square with no text around it.
Editing your LinkedIn QR code in Figma
For designers placing it in a brand layout, a deck, or a set of event assets.
Choose Copy for Figma on the last step, open any Figma file, and paste. The design lands as vector layers named Background, Name, Role, Call to action and QR code, so you can restyle the text, swap fonts, or drop the code into a frame of your own. The QR code comes in as a group of shapes, which keeps it perfectly sharp at any size.
If pasting does not work in your browser, use the SVG download and drag the file into Figma instead. The layers come through the same way.
Printing a LinkedIn QR code that actually scans
Most failed codes fail at the printer, not the generator.
- Size.
- On a business card, keep the code at least 2 cm, about 0.8 inches, across. For signs, a rough rule is one unit of code width for every ten units of scanning distance, so a code scanned from a metre away wants to be about 10 cm.
- Contrast.
- Dark code on a light background, never the reverse. Many phone cameras still struggle with a light code on a dark background.
- Margin.
- Leave clear space around the code, at least the width of four of its small squares. Text or a border pushed right up against it is a common reason a code will not read.
- Test.
- Scan the printed proof with two different phones before ordering the full run.
Put a LinkedIn QR code on your resume
A LinkedIn QR code on a printed resume lets a recruiter open your full profile in one scan, with your recommendations, projects and activity that do not fit on one page.
- 01
Choose the QR only layout and download it as SVG, so it stays sharp in Word, Google Docs or Canva.
- 02
Place it in the header next to your email and phone, at least 2 cm (about 0.8 inches) across.
- 03
Keep your LinkedIn address written out as text too. Many applicant tracking systems read text, not images.
- 04
Print one copy and scan it with your phone before you send it.
A LinkedIn QR code or a contact QR code?
A LinkedIn QR code opens your profile. The person scanning has to be signed into LinkedIn, and then has to tap Connect and wait for you to accept before they can reach you.
A contact QR code saves you straight into their phone's address book, with your number, email, company and LinkedIn link together, and it works without any app or account. At events, where people want to follow up by message rather than in LinkedIn's inbox, that is usually the more useful code.
You can have both. A free ConnectMachine card carries your LinkedIn link along with everything else, behind a single QR code.
Frequently asked questions
In the LinkedIn app, tap the search bar at the top, then the QR icon on its right, and choose My code. The desktop site does not show one. To get a printable, branded version, use the generator on this page.
The QR code gets the connection. Remembering it is the hard part.
ConnectMachine scans the cards you collect, records who you met and why it mattered, and answers questions like who did I meet at Web Summit who works in fintech.
