How much do digital business cards cost in 2026?
The real numbers, checked on every vendor's pricing page, including the costs that are not on the pricing page.
Digital business cards cost anywhere from nothing to a custom enterprise quote, and the vendors do not make comparing easy: one hides pricing behind a demo call, one charges for hardware plus a subscription, and the free tiers all draw their limits in different places.
We checked every number below on the vendor's own pricing page in August 2026. Prices in this category change often and promotions are constant, so treat this as a snapshot and confirm on the vendor's page before you commit. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so rather than guessing.
The short answer
A perfectly good digital business card costs $0: every major platform has a free tier, and free web tools exist that do not even require an account. Paid individual plans run $3 to $10 per month. Team plans run roughly $4 to $7 per seat per month, usually cheaper on annual billing. NFC hardware, where you want it, adds a per-card purchase on top, from about $20 to $140 depending on material. Enterprise pricing is quoted, not published.
What the free plans include
Free tiers in this category are genuinely usable, not trials. The differences sit in card counts and scan limits.
- ConnectMachine Free: up to 4 cards, 3 paper card scans, Apple and Google Wallet passes, widgets, the WhatsApp Assistant, and CSV export.
- Blinq Free: 2 cards, unlimited sharing, wallet passes, a personal email signature, and virtual backgrounds.
- HiHello Personal: 4 cards, a personal email signature, virtual backgrounds, wallet passes, and 5 card or badge scans per month.
- Mobilo: a free digital wallet card, with physical NFC cards sold separately.
Separately from the plans, no-signup web tools cover pieces of the job for nothing: you can build a card, generate an email signature, make a meeting background with your QR on it, or scan a stack of paper cards to CSV without creating an account anywhere.
Individual paid plans
- Mobilo Pro: $3 per month, digital only; physical cards are a separate purchase.
- ConnectMachine Individual: $5.99 per month for everything, including unlimited paper card scans, AI notes, and the AI Concierge.
- HiHello Professional: $6 per month, or $72 billed yearly, with 16 cards and 20 scans per month.
- Blinq Premium: $9.99 per month, or $7.33 per month billed annually, with up to 5 cards, the contact scanner, and an AI notetaker.
What the paid tiers actually gate varies: on HiHello it is largely scan volume and card counts, on Blinq it is scanning and customization, on ConnectMachine it is unlimited scanning and the AI features. Match the gate to the thing you would actually hit, not to the feature list.
Team pricing
- Mobilo Teams: from $4 per month billed annually, with central billing; a Business tier exists for 100+ seats.
- Blinq Business: $4.99 per user per month billed annually, or $6.99 monthly, with a minimum equal to 5 team cards.
- HiHello Business: $5 per user per month billed annually ($60 per user per year), for 5 to 100 users.
- ConnectMachine Team: $5.99 per seat per month, with centralized billing, team analytics, and CRM integration.
- Popl: no public pricing. Their site quotes pricing over a meeting, and no free plan is advertised.
Check the shape as well as the number: Blinq's 5-card minimum means the real entry price for a team of two is five seats, and most of the advertised prices assume annual billing.
What NFC hardware adds
Hardware-led platforms price the object by material. Mobilo, as one published example, lists branded plastic, custom designs, wood, and metal at increasing price points, roughly $20 to $140 at list, with steep promotions running most of the time. The subscription is on top of the card.
The hidden line item is the second card: when your title, company, or logo changes, the printed object is stale, and a replacement costs whatever a card costs. A QR code sidesteps the whole cycle. Your QR business card downloads as a print-ready file, so if you want something physical to hand over, any print shop makes it for pennies and the code never goes stale.
The costs that are not on the pricing page
Quoted pricing
When a vendor only quotes pricing over a meeting, budget time as well as money, and expect the number to depend on how the call goes. If published pricing matters to you, that narrows the list by itself.
Seat minimums and annual commitments
Per-seat prices are usually the annual-billing number. Check the monthly price, the minimum seats, and what happens to captured contacts when a seat is removed.
Scan limits after a busy month
A free tier with 5 scans a month is fine until conference season. Price the plan against your busiest month, not your average one.
The exit
Whatever you choose, confirm you can export your contacts before you pay. A platform that makes leaving hard is charging you a price that never appeared on the pricing page.
Start at zero and see what breaks
The cheapest honest advice in this category: start on a free plan, use it through one real event, and pay only when you hit an actual limit. If you never hit one, the correct price for you was $0 all along.
