AI Concierge for lawyers
Ask who referred the last three matters, or who you know that handles construction defect work, and get an answer from your own notes instead of scrolling a contact list.
A contact list only helps if you can get the right name out of it under time pressure. Most of the time you are not scrolling for fun: a matter has come in, there is a conflict, and you need to refer it out today.
The AI Concierge sits on top of the contacts and notes you have already recorded and answers questions the way you would ask a colleague.
The question is never "show me my contacts"
Nobody opens a contact list to browse. The real questions are specific and time-bound: who handles this kind of matter, who sent us the last one, who was that expert.
A list sorted alphabetically answers none of those. It only answers "what was their name", which is the one thing you have already forgotten.
- Who referred this client to us?
- Who do I know that takes plaintiff-side employment work?
- Who was the valuation expert from the Harding matter?
- Who did I meet at the construction law seminar last spring?
Ask in plain language
Type the question the way you would say it. The Concierge reads across your contacts, tags, and notes and answers with names and the context you recorded.
- 1Record notes as you go: what they practice, where you met, who they referred.
- 2Open the Concierge and ask a question in ordinary words.
- 3Get an answer with the specific contacts and the notes behind them.
- 4Follow up in the same thread to narrow it down.
It is only as good as your notes
The Concierge does not invent knowledge. It reads what you recorded, which is why the habit of adding a line after a conversation is what makes it useful.
A contact with "employment defence only, sent us Harding, prefers a call" attached is answerable. A contact with only a name and a firm is not.
Before the lunch, not after
The obvious use is finding a referral under pressure. The quieter one is preparation: before a lunch or a bar event, ask what you know about the people you are about to see.
Walking in with the last conversation fresh, and the thing you promised to send, is the whole difference between a contact and a relationship.
Your notes stay yours
The Concierge answers over your own private data. Notes about client relationships are not published, not shared with the person you recorded them about, and not visible to anyone you have not chosen to share with.
Where it fits alongside the rest
Scanning gets people into the list, notes give them context, and the Concierge is how you get them back out. The three are the same loop, and skipping the notes is what breaks it.

Everything people usually ask before switching from paper. Still curious? See the full FAQ.
Anything your notes could answer: who referred a matter, who handles a practice area, who you met at an event, who you owe a follow-up. It answers with names and the context you recorded.
Getting started with the AI Concierge
Add a line to the twenty contacts you deal with most, then ask it something you would otherwise have emailed a colleague about. The quality of the answer tracks the quality of the notes.
